About WMC/Our Department:
WMC is a home for the arts in Wales, and a cauldron of creativity for the nation. We fire imaginations by curating world-class, critically-acclaimed touring productions, from musical theatre and comedy to dance, cabaret and an international festival. We kindle emerging talents with fresh, provocative and popular pieces of our own, rooted in Welsh culture. And we ignite a passion for the arts in young people with life-changing learning experiences and chances to shine in the spotlight.
As a venue we operate seven days a week,and every day except Christmas day. Our Food & Beverage department has undergone significant change with three new bars opening in the past six months, each with their own identity, service style and offer, providing significant opportunity for growth.

- An exciting new opportunity to join a growing food and beverage team here at WMC. We have a number of bars in operation at any one time, delighting our visitors and firing the imagination.
- We’re looking for a customer service role model us, someone who enjoys making the customers day and wowing our visitors.
- Whether it’s our café/bar, Ffwrnais, championing the best in Welsh produce or a great night out at Cabaret, we’ve got something for everyone here at WMC, with more exciting growth coming later this year.
About the Role and Responsibilities:
- Your role will be varied and no two days are the same. You will be supervising our F&B team across the Centre, ensuring that they deliver amazing customer service, communicating those expectations clearly and efficiently, working effectively alongside your fellow supervisors, resolving customer issues as well as the day-to- day tasks such as stock ordering, cash handling and so on.
- Reporting to the F&B Manager, and taking an active role in bringing suggestions or solutions to the table.
- Evenings and Weekend availability is essential, but a Casual team member you have great flexibility for that vital work/life balance.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience required in working and supervising teams in high-volume businesses.
- Be able to work flexible shift patterns, weekend and evening availability is vital.
- Excellent people skills with a customer service orientation
- Proven leadership abilities would be an advantage
- Up-to-date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Must be able to self-manage
