As they celebrate the tenth birthday of their project, it seems like a good time to reflect on just how much creative people have contributed to the collective discovery of Caerau and Ely’s past – both facilitating and celebrating that discovery every step of the way!
Co-director of CAER heritage Dr Dave Wyatt explore's the project's creativity to date in this flipbook. Click below to experience the flipbook:
Creative Cardiff will be working together with CAER heritage to co-produce a portrait wall for the new CAER Heritage Hidden Hillfort community centre – due to open Autumn 2021 funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The wall will feature portraits of many of the people at the heart of the project’s story and will be brought to life by resident CAER artists.
We’ll also be inviting Caerau and Ely residents and members of the Creative Cardiff network to take part in an art masterclass with the chance to co-create artwork for the heritage centre. Find out more about the masterclass and how to get involved here.
