Job overview
This exciting role is at the core of S4C's Communications team. You will work closely with the Head of Communications to ensure that the work of the Communications Team creates sufficient buzz about our content, and about S4C's wider work, engaging with our audiences and achieving the company's strategic objectives.
- You will lead on a forward planning system, coordinating and scheduling the work of the members of the Communications Team. This will mean ensuring that campaigns are effectively evaluated in order to ensure continuous improvement.
- You will play a leading role in promoting content and publicity services to the media and stakeholders, including leading on specific campaigns and supporting the Head and Director on our corporate communications strategy to ensure that our messages reach our stakeholders and audiences. You will achieve this by organising proactive announcements, reactive press releases and helping to draft polished messages and speeches for S4C bosses to diverse audiences including stakeholders.
- You will lead on internal communications plans to share the latest information and engage with colleagues across the organisation, playing a leading role in managing content on S4C's website and on S4C's corporate social media channels.
The ability to communicate fluently to a high level in Welsh and English verbally and in writing is essential.
Further Details
Location: S4C has offices in Carmarthen, Cardiff and Caernarfon and operate a hybrid working policy. You are expected to travel to wherever S4C reasonably orders from time to time.
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Probation Period: 6 months
Working Hours: 35.75 hours per week. Due to the nature of the position, flexibility is expected, including working outside office hours, some weekends and bank holidays.
Holidays: In addition to the statutory bank holidays, you will be entitled to 26 days of paid holiday per year. (Please note that the annual leave will be pro rata if working part time).
Pension: Paid staff are entitled to join a Group Personal Pension Scheme subject to the terms of any existing scheme which is amended from time to time. If you are a member of the Group Personal Pension Scheme, S4C will contribute 10% of your basic salary to the Scheme. You will be expected to contribute 5%.
