The Queer Emporium is pairing up with Living Streets to bring you a free LGBTQ+ Walking tour of Cardiff! Limited slots available, so book fast!
From Living Streets:
The walk will take you on a 90-minute meander around the city centre discovering sites that have a place in queer history and current life. Exploring facts, fables and rumours of the street, we will unlock why Cardiff is rooted in a strong queer past to be proud of.
This event is supported by Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We make the case for better street environments for walking and wheeling, and work to make streets more inviting and safer for all. This event is a great way of learning more about queer history and inclusive place making in a creative way.
Following the walk, you are invited to join us at 7.30pm for a well-deserved, free refreshment break at The Queer Emporium. We’d also love to discuss your thoughts on safety, belonging and wellbeing in your local community. How can we make our streets in Cardiff safer and more inviting?
Schedule:
6pm: Led walk from The Queer Emporium
7.30pm: Refreshments and workshop at TQE
8pm: Event closes
Please feel free to join us for some or all of the event. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and please bring a bottle of water. The pace of the walk is slow and there will be places to stop and sit along the route.
