Forget-me-not Chorus is a charity bringing the joy of singing to people living with dementia, and those who support them.
We’re extending our pool of freelance project musicians for work in Aberystwyth, Llanelli, South Wales, Conwy & Denbighshire.
We organise joy-filled singing sessions for people with all forms of dementia, as well as the families, friends and professional staff looking after them.
We are looking for warm, confident professional singers who are inspired to use their skills to engage, energise, and empower people living with dementia.
This freelance position will be appealing to singers with excellent people skills, some workshop/ choir leadership experience, and a desire to make a difference.
We work in the community, in care homes and hospitals and are looking for freelancers to join our team in South, West and North Wales. Working with a pianist, you will make a close connection with a regular group of our choristers living with and alongside dementia. The regular sessions run for 10/12 weeks per term, exploring thematic repertoire, sourced and supplied by the charity.
As part of the Forget-me-not team, you will be given initial training in delivering ‘The Forget-me-not Way’ and will be continuously supported in your delivery.
