Growing up learning painting and trained in art for degree level, I always have a genuine passion about art, and I believe art has great power to communicate and explain things in the world.
I have completed my BA and MA in Chinese Art Conservation and Maritime Archaeology respectively, worked as an editor for museum journal and have developed museum critique project using visual approaches for Shanghai Museum. This interdisciplinary background has allowed me to develop insights and skills broadly in art sectors, cultural heritage and museum, ethnography and academic editorial expertise.
My phD research focus on communicating archaeology, significant part of it is researching into art as a form of communication to deliver archaeological messages, and the use of audio/visual approach to amplify multiple perspectives on an object/a subject in ways that help facilitate cross-cultural encounters.
